A platform built on sharing health information only works if the sharing is controlled by the person the information is about. These are the principles the product is being built to.
You hold the permissions
Access is granted per practitioner and scoped per category. Nothing is shared by default, and you can revoke access at any time without deleting your record.
HIPAA-aligned by design
We're building to HIPAA requirements with compliance counsel engaged as part of Phase 1, including business associate agreements with practitioners and vendors.
Your record stays yours
You'll be able to export your unified record. Leaving the platform doesn't strand your history inside it.
We don't sell health data
Members pay for the platform so that health data doesn't have to be the business model. We don't sell it, and we don't trade it for advertising.
How data moves through the platform
Where it comes from. Records are retrieved from systems you connect — such as Epic / MyChart and Apple Health — through their secure health-data APIs, using access you grant and can withdraw. We request what's needed to build your health history, not everything a system will hand over.
How it's held. Health information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside Her Health Place is limited to what's required to operate the platform, and practitioner access is always mediated by your permissions rather than by an internal role.
Who can see it. Practitioners see only what you've shared with them, at the scope you've set. Practitioners can view notes shared with them but cannot comment on another practitioner's notes. Categories you keep private — therapy notes, for example — are visible to you alone.
What we do with it. We use your information to operate the platform and provide the features you've asked for. We don't sell health data, and we don't use your health information to target advertising.
Proactive alerts, later. Phase 2 vitals-variance alerts will be scoped to the FDA's clinical decision support framework. Any feature that routes clinical signals to a practitioner will ship inside that regulatory boundary, not ahead of it.
